Customer Service Manager


Job Purpose:
Oversee the Front End and Office functions. Train associates in customer service to ensure that customers are satisfied, retained, and the needs are fulfilled.  Ensure that Company programs and policies are followed.

Initial Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently (Bi-lingual is a plus).
2. Proficient with computer and Microsoft Office applications.
3. Possess a working knowledge of store operations and have successfully worked in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity.
4. Possess the ability to oversee multiple initiatives and personalities within a store to achieve all customer service objectives.
5. Proficient knowledge of all customer service programs.
6. Demonstrated self-motivation and successful experiences in previous jobs.
7. Must at all times abide by the policies and procedures set forth in the Company Handbook.

Primary (Essential) Job Functions:
1. Ensure Gold Standard Customer Service standards are achieved by providing coaching, mentoring and feedback to all associates.
2. Will oversee and be responsible for the overall office balancing and accountability.
3. Ensure that all front end associates are trained to meet customer needs and are equipped to resolve customer complaints to the full satisfaction of the customer whenever reasonably possible.
4. Train/monitor customer service attributes of all associates and maintain service levels in accordance with company standards.
5. Train/monitor proper use of scheduling application as designed to achieve maximum levels of customer service.
6. Enforce dress code and grooming standards to Minyard policy.
7. Train/monitor friendly, accurate checkout and carryout service for all customers as policy dictates.
8. Exhibit, train, ensure and enforce proper scanning and bagging procedures and carryout service.
9. Ensure associates are properly trained and updated on all produce and any other codes, including conducting weekly PLU identification tests.
10. Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding WIC, TABC and Lone Star programs, as well as train/monitor proper safety practices.
11. Provide the Store Director with verbal and written feedback regarding an associate's progress. Recommend possible job/position changes, constructive discipline and training opportunities.
12. Monitor that customer service operations are consistent with all aspects of federal, state and company health, safety and sanitation codes.
13. Act as the Manager-on-Duty (MOD) in the absence of the Store Director or Co-Director.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.


Grocery Manager


Job Description:
Minyard Food Stores, Inc. is looking for experienced Grocery Managers.

Position Overview:
The Grocery Manager is responsible for the direct supervision of the grocery, HBC, dairy, and frozen departments. Provides leadership, effectively trains, evaluates, and utilizes associates talents and abilities to maximize profits. In the absence of the Store Manager, may be called to assume complete responsibility for total store operations.

2. Maintain store conditions/standards according to company policy.
3. Ensure product inventory is achieved through proper ordering.
4. Develop a workload plan, coordinate responsibilities, and follow-thru for maximum results.
5. Maximizes store profits through effective implementation of merchandising directives.
6. Responsible for opening and closing the store when applicable.
7. Ensures proper usage compliance and safe use of all equipment and supplies.
8. Schedules all grocery, HBC, dairy and frozen.
9. Trains and maintains a qualified stock crew.
10. Responsible for proper backroom inventory levels, rotation, and ordering.
11. Controls department costs by monitoring and improving operational productivity, turnover, and shrink.
12. Maintains accurate department records including associate performance, discipline, sales, inventory, out-of-stock, and various other reports.
13. Use of computer and electronic ordering equipment.

Requirements:
1. Minimum 1 year experience in Grocery Retail.
2. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
3. Stand and walk for extended period of time up to 4 hours without a break.
4. Bend, reach, stoop, and lift up to 70 lbs.
5. Push and pull carts up to 2000 lbs. using pallet jack.
6. Ability to operate all necessary equipment.
7. Capable of teaching others in a constructive and positive manner.
8. Able to prioritize effectively and delegate responsibilities.
9. Effectively analyze a situation, identify the problem and implement a solution.
10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to all levels of personnel.
11. Bilingual is a plus (English/Spanish).

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
