WHAT:Fort Worth Police Officers Association Thanksgiving Shopping Spree
WHERE:
Minyard Food Store, 4245 E. Berry St., Fort Worth, TX 76105
WHEN:
Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 9 a.m. (event should last 1 ½ to 2 hours)
WHO:
30-to-50 families, Fort Worth police officers, City Council members and Mayor Moncrief.
WHY:
As a community service project, Fort Worth Police Officers Association members will be paired with 30 to 50 needy families to shop for their Thanksgiving meal. The shoppers will have run of the store and their purchases will be paid for by the association. This project is a way for the police to make Thanksgiving special for some deserving families.
Minyards will have special register lines open just for this event.
